Short BioDr. Stuart Stubblebine is a computer scientist with both practical and theoretical expertise in networking and computer systems, computer security, encryption, and privacy technology. Dr. Stubblebine is a founder and consultant with Stubblebine Consulting providing network and computer expertise in design, analysis, and evaluation and expert witness support for many Fortune 500 companies. Also, Dr. Stubblebine conducts sponsored research for Stubblebine Research Labs in the areas of security and privacy technology. Dr. Stubblebine has over 50 technical publications in the area of networking and computer systems. He has been an associate editor for the ACM Transactions on Information and System Security. He listed as an inventor on over a dozen patents. Previously, Dr. Stubblebine was a scientist at Bell Labs, and a professor at University of Southern California. He earned his Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering from University of Maryland in 1992, and his MS degree from University of Arizona in Electrical Engineering in 1988. His BS was a double major in computer science and mathematics from Vanderbilt University in 1983. Dr. Stubblebine's expertise includes computer networking, computer systems, security and cryptographic evaluation and design; communications and network security; authentication, authorization and audit; conditional access, content protection, and piracy countermeasures; digital rights management, best security practices, electronic payment and credit card processing; privacy technology; identity theft; secure software engineering; public key management; specialized protocols and systems; smart card technology; cryptographic protocols; electronic commerce; and electronic signatures.
